MERCURY offers a range of warm water underfloor heating systems suitable for all types of subfloors, including screed, timber, floating and low profile. Before going ahead with the installation always make sure the necessary insulation is installed and check with the manufacturer before laying the final floor covering.
Our systems can be installed to work with boilers or renewable sources of heat including heat pumps, providing significant savings for your client’s due to lower flow temperatures of around 30-40°c.
Our CAD technicians can provide you with a custom underfloor heating design. Don’t forget we can also provide you with a whole-house heating system design or ready-to-use kits for hassle-free installation.

Screeded
MERCURY screeded systems are a popular choice for installers as they provide a quick, simple solution for heating within a screed floor. Whilst screed systems provide the best output and are the most cost effective to install, we wouldn’t recommend installing them into an area smaller than 10m2. MERCURY systems are available in a choice of staple, castellation mat, multifoil and clip-to-mesh options.
Screeded Systems
- Mercury Atlas (staple)
- Mercury Aurora (castellated panel)
- Mercury Apollo (multifoil)
- Mercury Ariel (cable tie to mesh)
The MERCURY ATLAS floor system is a commonly used underfloor heating system that provides a quick, flexible and simple solution for heating within a screed floor.
MERCURY 16mm pipe is used depending on the application, which is held in place by staples with a barbed end to fix into the insulation. We can also design systems as part of a specified acoustic floor detail within flats and houses.

The MERCURY AURORA floor system is designed for a fast and accurate underfloor heating install. Castellated panels interlock to create a fixing system for MERCURY 16mm pipe that does not require fixings or staples.
This floor system is commonly used as part of a specified acoustic floor detail within flats and houses where it is laid directly onto the acoustic layer.

The MERCURY APOLLO floor system is used when insulation is installed beneath concrete slab or on intermediate floors. A4mm Multifoil is laid over insulation or onto the concrete floor with joints taped.
A grid is printed on one side of the Multifoil for ease of installation. MERCURY 16mmpipe is used depending on the application, laid in continuous loops fixed into clamp track with plastic nails and hooks.

MERCURY ARIEL is a cable tie-to-mesh underfloor heating system that provides an economical and quick solution for heating within a screed floor.
There are typically two types of floor construction; concrete slab and those which incorporate a reinforcing wire mesh grid at mid-level in the floor. The floor build-up comprises a hardcore bed, followed by a layer of insulation, covered with a vapour barrier and perimeter edge insulation.
The wire mesh is then either installed on the floor insulation in the case of a simple slab floor, or at the required level in the slab on structural floors.
Floating
Our recommended floating floor systems, MERCURY HYPERION and STELLA 18 are designed to be installed on solid or timber floors. The subfloor is required to be flat and level to support the grooved floating floor panels. HYPERION offers an even level of thermal insulation and can reduce the weight of the building structure, whilst STELLA 18 speeds up installation, offers fast response time and even heat distribution.
Floating Systems
- Mercury Hyperion (Floating floor panel + Aluminium HEP)
- Mercury Stella 18 (XPS with 100 micron foil sheet)
HYPERION is a floor system designed for installation on solid or timber floors, offering a level of thermal insulation and reducing the weight of the building structure. Heat emission plates enhance heat response when this system is used.
This system is available in a number of different insulation types and thicknesses depending on the requirements of the job. MERCURY P16, M16 or P20 pipe can be used.

A versatile underfloor heating system for new builds, retrofit projects and off-plan underfloor heating thanks to its low 18mm build-up.
Multidirectional panels covered with 100-micron foil significantly speed up installation, provides fast response times and even heat distribution.
No screeding required and suitable for most floor finishes. Also applicable to low-profile applications.

Suspended
Specifically designed for joisted floor applications, MERCURY Ellipse and Eon 22 offer fast response times and even heat distribution without the need for raising the floor height.
Suspended Systems
MERCURY ELLIPSE is designed for joisted or batten floor applications, offering a quick response time without the need for raising the floor height.
ELLIPSE produces the maximum output possible from a joisted floor system when combined with a high-temperature heat source such as a boiler. It can also be used in combination with renewable heat technologies including air and ground source heat pumps.
MERCURY 16mm pipe is used depending on the application, which is held in place by fixing the aluminium heat emission plate to a joist or battened floor above rigid or mineral wool insulation.

NEW! Similar to the ELLIPSE system, MERCURY EON 22 offers a quick response time with minimal increase in floor height.
The construction consists of a load-bearing slotted 22mm chipboard which replaces the standard board in floor constructions.
As the pipe is as close to the surface as possible, the resistance is reduced and performance is improved against a typical 22mm chipboard construction above the underfloor heating system. MERCURY P12 pipe is typically used with this system.

Low Profile
Our low-profile offering can be installed into new build’s, retrofit, extensions and off-plan, particularly useful where floor height is restricted. MERCURY MAIA, STELLA 18 and COMET are just a selection of our systems which features minimum build-up heights between 15-18mm. Our low profile systems can significantly speed up installation time and can be laid over an existing load-bearing floor. A variety of floor finishes can be laid over the top making this a desirable option for many clients.
Low Profile Systems
- Mercury Maia (Castellated Panel)
- Mercury Stella 18 (XPS with 100 micron foil sheet)
- Mercury Comet (15mm fibreboard)
Suitable for most room sizes, MERCURY MAIA can be installed on any existing screed, timber or tiled floor.
Offering a build-up of just 15mm, the MAIA floor system uses castellated panels with holes to allow the levelling compound to spread and bond firmly with the primed substructure.
A short drying time allows for floor coverings to be laid directly on to the surface of the levelling screed. As the pipe is just below the top layer, heat-up times are short and the system can be operated at lower water temperatures.

NEW! For new builds, retrofit projects and off-plan underfloor heating thanks to its 18mm build up.
STELLA 18 significantly speeds up installation time and can be laid over an existing load-bearing floor. A variety of floor finishes can be laid over the system.

NEW! MERCURY Comet is an ultra-low 15mm, making the system suitable for projects where there is not enough floor-to-ceiling height to install a conventional underfloor heating system.
Panels can be floated or mechanically fixed over a flat and even timber floor and a finished deck of 6mm ply, MDF or similar is mechanically fixed over the COMET panels to complete the floor.
